To ensure a comfortable and secure Huckollar fit, follow these steps to measure your dog’s neck for your new collars accurately:
Use a Flexible Measuring Tape to find your dog collar size. Use a soft tape measure (like the kind used for sewing). If you don’t have one, use a piece of string or ribbon, then measure it against a ruler.
Find the Correct Spot on the Neck
Measure around the base of your dog’s neck, where the collar would naturally sit. This is usually just above the shoulders and below the head.
Measure Snugly, but Not Tight
Wrap the tape around your dog’s neck, snug but not tight, and measure dog collar. You should be able to fit two fingers comfortably between the tape and your dog’s neck—this ensures the collar won’t be too tight or too loose.
Note the Measurement
Record the measurement in inches or centimeters. Add 1–2 inches (2.5–5 cm) depending on the size of your dog (smaller dogs = closer to 1 inch, larger dogs = closer to 2 inches) for a proper collar fit.
